Little more is known about this Great koi after it was remeasured by credible sources.
That kohaku would be considered....."Disqualified due to expiration...ie, dead",

Has to be a Chagoi or Ogon or SOMETHING bigger than 36" verified in this country. At the shows in US the biggest I have seen is about that, including Duke's Kohaku. Have seen 1.3 and 1.4 meter chagoi's both at Holland Koi Show and at All Japan Koi show...Now THAT was cool..

Biggest Koi I ever have seen were Sorogoi at that greenhouse of Marusei's...It was my first trip to Japan in 1998. I thought they were 5 feet long and they had these whale slings with 2" metal posts in the concrete to move them. Course the koi might have only been 4 1/2 feet...LOL Truely as big as a person. I asked about them and they told me the shipping alone would be at least 2000$

Yes, when they ship them they have to put them in wooden crates.

Yeah never seen a Chagoi over 36" here in the states...I think Joe Co, has a Kumoyru around 36"....I dont someone wants to take on the high cost of shipping something over 40"...
