My 2 Tosai Shiros from Hammock Koi Farm

Here are the 2 tosai shiros I just got from Mike at Hammock Koi Farm. I can't wait to see how they turn out after putting on some growth! Mike really knows how to bring out the shiroji.

Very nice selection good checkerboard pattern. Head markings good nice white background. you have some winners.

Is it me or the bodies on these Shiros look short. I agree with Louie they have great pattern and very good Shiroji.

I'm going to try and add some additional pictures to help judge body length. Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop on this computer, so some of them will have to wait until tonight so I can resize them as the files are too large to load here.

I think you are correct. The bodies seem to be about 1/2 a head length too short.

They are 9" long.

The bodies are typical Shiro/Showa bodies...more on the short side.

The photos are taken from over the shoulder, affecting the perception of proportions. Photos can be tough on a koi.

I think Mike's right, the proportion seem well within the five heads from nose to end of tail. ichi matsu, love that checkerboard,
