Wink Upflow Filters

Can anyone remember a post concerning the volume of flow calculations on an upflow filter? Vertical and Horizontal.

Thanks

You could type into the search section, Filters - Upflow filters - Filtration and see what comes up.

Question Upflow Filters

I tried nothing I could use came up. I'll keep trying. I remember seeing something like that last year, but don't remember where. Thank you for your reply

It depends on the type of filter. Bio or Aerated bio filters don't have a speed limit. Static fines or trapping biofilters have a speed limit and my number is approximately 630 gph/square foot of crossectional area.
