The doitsu Showa entered by Koi2002 is a very interesting fish... once you get past the striking pattern to look at the whole fish. Wish there were fewer ripples. A doitsu that leaves a lasting impression.

Woodyaht gets my vote for Most Unique. A Kuro Goshiki, but with a difference... The sumi edge on each scale within the hi plate of the body is wonderfully even. It could be called 'reverse matsuba'. This one belongs in the unique koi thread that's languished lately on another board.

Thanks for the nice comments Mike! It's been interesting watching her evolve from what was kind of a shot in the dark when I bought her.
