Can't say what the dealers coming to CFKS will bring with them. It differs each year. It depends on their stock, and their guess of what will be popular and the price ranges that will work. I know Russell is bringing some Toshio Sakai gosanke. Saw a picture that included a nice Showa that caught my eye. The Peters & Son booth is in the atrium area not far from the space Eastern Nishikigoi has every year. Genki and Ray Abell usually have some nisai or older show-worthy fish. Last year Abell had nice tosai Shiros. Purdin Koi have very nice Kohaku, and other gosanke. Eastern Nishikigoi usually brings very nice size one and two tosai, but this year reserved an extra tank because bringing 'some really nice' koi. Don't know what surprises they might have in mind. They get a long line at their booth... have to take a number and wait to be called. Nisei Koi Farm has raised the quality of the offerings each year, and brings a variety of gosanke and other varieties. They had killer Shiro tosai last year (?or was it the year before?)that went quickly. Their Sanke stand out. Usually there are only a relative handful of koi selling in the over $1,000 range, but last year there was something in the air. There were quite a number of koi sold in the $2,000+ range. That was unusual, so I would not expect a repeat in that price range. CFKS is a good show for dealers in all price ranges because it draws attendance from across the country and the ZNA presidents meeting on Friday brings even more. Somebody doing all that travel may be excited over finding a 'perfect' tosai chagoi for $20, but is also more open to considering koi in the higher price ranges. That encourages dealers to bring some better koi. Florida does not have any top-end dealers. It's a half-day drive just to get to Orlando from Miami. From the Florida-Georgia border it takes most of a day to get to a top dealer. So, when the dealers come to Orlando, in the middle of the state, they get a big welcome.
