Additional input for the word of "katatuki
kata : conventional, stereotype

For example:
a breeder gave up that' Sanke as a female parent because a rate of Katatuki was too low.
one of Omosako female parent does not have sumi pattern just as if a shiromuji fish but she has been producing lots of nice Katatuki babies.

As we know, Bekko is a by-product of Sanke breeding, Chagoi and Soragoi shall a by-product of Ochiba Shigure breeding as well.
One of my acquaintance (friend) attempted breeding Ochiba Shigure last year. What he got was a pile of non Katatuki babies such as Chagoi, Soragoi and Magoi, etc but very few Ochiba (katatuki) babies..........maybe that' why.......

You should tell your friend that both Toshio Sakai and Saito ( Shintaro) told me that is not the best way to go as your friend has found out! Use chagoi or soragoi female and then use a kohaku male.

Thanks for the info and effort in translating for me, much appreciated. My new thing is to practice my 'Japanese' one hour each day. I long to be my own translator! LOls
