She definitely looks a lot better in the new pics. Nice thick body, but personally, I'd like to see a bit more sumi...

Whalen:

My dealer is very sure that a lot of sumi is coming through, the first photo I placed is taken in november, and the last 3 photo's are from this afternoon. So in 2 months this sumi is developped. Next may she is becoming sansai. So she is still a very young fish

Since november it is slightly getting better with that sumi, but will it get more in the future ?

Based on Momotaro and Matsonusuke sanke I raised I do not think that you are going to get more sumi than you can see comeing through . The only thing that bothers me if it is blurred kiwa in centre of fish on first photo , it might just be photo ,as Kiwa I have found does not seem to improve it becomes worse with age . Otherwise it looks like a great fish wish I had it .

Eugene:

This is not matsonusuke or Momotaro Last year whe also purchassed a nisai sanke from SFF with also very little sumi, we have her now 8 months in the pond and she has improved her sumi. But not the big sumi patches, but the little patches I like. I think this sansai will hopefully gets a big sumi patch on her shoulder, and hopefully some little ones between the 2 hi-plates. So I think with this sansai it will be OK.

The blurred kiwa is indeed the photo, because the water was coming over the bowl, because she was very lively when the photo's were taken.

I think for 99,9 % we take the gamble and buy her

Inge

My dealer made a litte film of her at 8 march, its only 55 sec. but it gives you more feel of the koi than a photo. What do you think of her now?

sansai 73.5cm Big Rose Sanke

We shall see Acquitori Even with a little sumi this koi is very beautiful, and my dealer is very sure that is more sumi is coming, he purchassed more sanke of Big Rose, and they have the same story of the sumi. There is no perfect koi and she is still a tategoi.

We have still an option on this koi, but I'm very very sure that we gone bring her to our pond this summer.

I will keep you posted of her evolution in the future

Ingrid

Keep us posted, I am curious to see what direction the sumi will go. I think right now once the growth slows down abit the sumi should come up right behind....But anyways, I still wouldnt mind have that Sanke in my pond...

Hi all,

Last saturday we reverse the option on this sanke in a buy, we talked with the dealer about to take her to a show this year, we are thinking about it now what we shall decide, she is still a young fish. Maybe if the sumi on her shoulder has further developped?

If she's not going to a show this year, she will showing her looks in to our pond in the beginning of may...we shall see what her future is..we''ll keep you posted

Ingrid

I would wait to put the fish in a show. This fish has a bright future ahead of it and I think it will undoubtingly impress those who see her.

Our sanke arrived at home now and she is swimming beautifull in our pond with our other koi, .we are glad she arrived endly ...she is now 74,5 cm long and and we give her now all our love, good food and etc. to grow bigger in our pond.

And Aquitori we we were very naughty and my dealer take her with him to a koishow in Hilvarenbeek in Holland, she won 3 prices, Mature championship (best in class 5 & 6), best in size 6 and best sanke class 6...not bad for a beginner at show what you think?
We are very proud of her ..with this result..

There were 2 Japanes judges and 1 English judge at the scene, mr. Hisashi Hirasawa (marudo Koi Farm), mr. Haruo Aoki (Aoki Koifarm) and mr. Alan Coogan.

The photo's are taken by a good koifriend us at the koiwhow in the show vat, he send them to me this morning and I want to share the photo's with you all

gr,
Ingrid
