Need help with plumbing line for new filter

Would I gain more flow by using a 1-1.5” pipe to lift the water to the height needed and then using 2” pipe for the horizontal flow? There is probably about 1000 gal going through the added 2” pipe
I used all 2” line thinking that the water would flow easier in a larger line (less restriction) but then wondered if the larger line created more water weight for the pump to lift.
