Hey bud, I kinda admire those that actually do something to build organizations, don't you? I mean, anyone can complain, but few actually toil to make a difference. What's that old slogon? O yea, if you are not part of the solution, you are likely part of the problem!
That aside, the meeting was a very productive one. There was a spirit in the room that was truly positive. I liked that.
The agenda was brief but everyone got to voice their opinions and a few votes were taken that will appear in the minutes once everyone is home, settled and has some free time.
But I can tell you briefly;
1) Ron Goforth was re-elected for another two year term.
2) all chapters were represented except the Pacific Northwest ZNA . Their assigned rep, Bob Finnegan had a conflict as he is traveling to Japan very soon. We welcomed Larry from NoCal and Michael from Potomac and Dick from Northern Mid West as our newest attendees.
3) the websites znaamerica. com and znaamerica.org are up and running and to be run by JR again , after a brief absence. The temporary site will now bring you to this page also.
4) we have a new candidiate for the judging program pending a review of qualifications.
5) we have no new chapters. The chapter count remains at 8. These are all physical chapters covering physical geography of the country and we respect member's territories and regional identity.
6) After SoCal, Potomac is the next scheduled show in 2008. If anyone has a show before this they should contact the newletter or webpage editors.
7) next year's Presidents and judges meetings, and semniar, will be held in SoCal, after being on the East Coast for the last two years.
8) members are encouraged to submit educational articles to znaamerica for publication in Nichirin, znaamerica website or other chapter or partner magazines.
