My Kohaku from SFF

This is my new kohaku i bought on my last trip to Japan.

Please can you give your opinion on it negative and positive?

Would it have any change to win a price at All Japan koishow or on the Nogyosai?

Some details: 70 cm Sansai Female Kohaku
Parent Nemo
Stays one year in Japan to grow on.

Strong conformation and heavy pattern. The beni is rich and thick. The shiroji has sometime to become more brighter.

I would probably say the only thing lacking for this fish to show well is the general size to pattern. I would wait until the fish got to maybe 80+cm then show it, that is if the shiroji has cleaned up abit.

Where is the fish being housed?

I agree with Tonio. Grow her out for another 2 years or so. So that the pattern would compensate the size. You should ask Kentaro or your dealer on what's their take if you wan to show her at AJKS.

Gwenn,

I think she ia a very lovely lady and she will be an eyecatcher in your pond. The only thing I see and maybe its due to the photo that it looks likes her head is a little "blunt" in comparisson to the rest of her body. Maybe its personal but I like more the long broad stretched heads The pattern I like very much, nice thick beni, good confarmation and I think the shiroji will lighten up in the future..

Do you want to show her next year?
gr,
Ingrid

Thx for the reactions now hoping it will develop very well this summer on the mudponds.

I also found this picture of it (not the best). But it shows the beni quality and give you a refer point with the shoe on it.

My guess it will be about 77 or 78 cm in November.

i will keep you uptodate also if she goes to a show in Japan or goes home.

I must say she got a lot of her looks for her mother Nemo.
