the stoney silence

of our resident frog, quietly awats the arrival of spring, nary a "croaK" will pass his lips
till the sakura blossums spread across the ponds in their glorious pink

Very nice frog, Dick... and very attactive with the moss at its feet.

Frogs have little symbolic meaning in Western culture, but in every other culture I have read about, the frog symbolizes happiness and prosperity. Perfect at pondside.

Dick
So a photographer and a poet as well . Now that is my kind of frog . I once culled and my final selection was a 100 fry . I left for my cottage and 3weeks later there was this fat bull frog and all the fry were gone . So now I evict them to a nice pond several miles away .
On any photo the most desireble centre of intrest should be in the 4th quadrant and that is where the white pvc pipe is spoiling your glorious scene
Regards
Eugene

sometimes are posts get kinda intense and serious

maybe a little relief wouldn't hurt.

sorry bout the white pipe.It used to be a return jet till kintaro Sakai came to visit and said give them a quiet place to select from, hence it was "silenced"

Get a can of spray paint and paint the pipe. It will blend in with the background.

I love my frogs. They get so loud here I can have the windows closed and the tv on and still hear them.

STEVEC, STAY AWAY!

here is my front garden

at the entrance to my front door.
The granite lantern is 5 ft tall, the chrisanthemum watering bowl sets under a pine I have trained for 35 years. Behind it is a moon maple and in front a tree peoney with 14 buds that will explode into pink color in about a month.
