Let's see now Luke, believe a profesional breeder with a degree and 20+ years of experience in fish farming or believe a medical technition with a limited understanding of the hobby. Hmmmm, tough decision. LOL

Remember Luke:

Koi do not eat koi intentionally once they recognize them as koi.

and

"There's no fish under the ice" Regardless of your Penguin movie.

Lam,
It's really a shame to have this kind of stuff happen on a regular basis.

Yes, it is. But that's Luke -- and right now he's on a tear.

He's trashed Tony's thread seven ways from Sunday, has two more threads going with more insults to more folks than a Don Rickles monologue and all we can do is try to cleanup the worst of his verbal logorrhea.

Hello Lam . . .

That's a mock-Latin phrase I used 4 days ago when Luke was posting stupid and getting on JR's nerves on the Too controversial to keep in the Knowledge thread (post #11).

It is jokingly taken to mean "don't let the bastards grind you down".

Yes it is, Michael, yes it is. And Don, thank you for the explanation of the Latin phrase. I guess it does make a lot of sense now that you have defined it.

Lam and Junichi,
While it is a distraction when things go south here, it is incorrect to state that "advanced members do not post here". The only reason I am on this board is because some of the most advanced in terms of Koi husbandry and appreciation DO post here. I learn from them. I also sift my way through most of the BS that gets scattered about and consider it cannon fodder for the laugh factory. But then again, I think Lewis Black is a funny Son of a B!#@#!...

What Lam was respnding to was a comment I made about how many advanced hobbyists choose not to post here (or other boards) due to antics like Luke's. He didn't mean that no advanced hobbyists post here. There is a wealth of knowledge available but just not through the internet due to these types of antics. Some people simply will not put forth the effort to deal with it....and why should they?

You're welcome, Lam.

And furthermore, I'd like to take this opportunity (a small break in the action) to assure you that your prior use of the word 'elite' as an honorific was both appropriate and appreciated, I'm sure.

It's only an insult when used by someone like, well . . .
