What about this Omosako Showa?

This Showa is 4years old 20 inches. What are your thoughts on future sumi development. Quality of the hi? Body shape/ Shiro and any thing else. Any thought on more sumi coming on the head?

If ya put it in FL water it'd get more black..The body ain't purty but in three more years that tail tube might fill out..more than likely it wont. But the fish don't make me flinch when I look at it so I'd let it stay in the mud pond

As far as I can tell from the photos, she has good qualities except the tail tube being thin in relation to the rest of the body. She seems a bit small for four years.

I like a showa with more sumi....impression of power when looking at it. So my comments you may take with a grain of salt because of my personal preferences. I'm not drawn to this fish. Tail isn't impressive and should be at 4 years of age. I don't see any evidence of more sumi appearing on the head or anywhere else for that matter except on the one side. The beni seem finished to me. It's hard with a 3 colored fish to get all colors to come up at the same time. This may be one of those fish that won't finish evenly. Quality of the skin looks good, but it's hard to tell unless you see the fish in person.

I have a high regard for the ability of this breeder to produce nice showa and kohaku.
I think the quality of the beni is extraordinary, the sumi not on the same page. Wasn't it Dr tse from taiwan, who said in theory, showa's red and black are diametricly opposed to one another, meaning it's most difficult to get both together in high standard.

Dick

I wasn't aware that Omosako produced Kohaku. Is this something new?
