Namaste

Greetings from India

Im kicked to have found this forum. Sadly no one in India seems to be into rearing good quality Koi. All the Koi we get here are basic pond types.I finally managed to get hold of some juvenile Kohakus (4-6 inches) from an importer ad that too im sure are not going to win any awards. Well its a start for me. Would love to hear from the experts out here.
regards

Philip

Hi guys, here's what our newest member pcjacob posted in the "Welcome & Birthday" section of this forum. I just copied and paste it into the main forum for all to see. Hope you don't mind, Philip, & welcome!

thanks Lam, and welcome Philip......

Part of the lure of koi is the dream associated with buying a potential koi and having it fulfill our expectations. most of us are still chasing that dream.....but it is fun and no matter if you start with pond wuality, you still need to pay your dues to learn what it takes to sucessfully grow and allow them to reach their full potential. The basics are the same for all quality.

Rather than worrying about finding better koi, invest in your pond and filter and feel free to ask your questions here

Dick, you are always so full of wisdom and I definitely agree with what you said, esp the part about investing in a good pond with excellent filtration system. And yes we all have to pay our dues, and sometimes these dues can be pretty costly.
