Maurice is having an open house and sale of his koi next weekend. I don't know of too many more folks as passionate about becoming a recognized breeder as this man is.
His breeders were carefully hand selected in japan and he has done a nice job with his kohaku, shiro utsuri and others. I think the color variety he has made the best impression with so far are his cha-goi. Lots of different colors and very nice quality. He has a cinnamon/honey colored one with thin black reticulation and fukerin that makes my heart go pitter-pat. The males even have wonderful body shapes. (sigh) the USD is 2 to 1 against the pound
