In earlier times in the hobby, when the search for new 'varieties' was the rage, Dr. Kuroki would create descriptive names for unique koi. She has some attributes of Gin Matsuba, but not quite that. She seems to have a primitive metallic character, some Asagi and a scale alignment issue. Have some fun and create your own unique name in Japanese that is descriptive of her. But, please, don't play the Ebay scheme of applying a fancy name and telling everyone she is extraordinarily valuable. Her value is in the pleasure she gives.
BTW, in 1948 she would have been the center of much attention.
