Carp Pox

I just noticed a couple of my Koi have carp pox. From what I have read it Tis the Seaon. I live in PA and the water has begun to warm up but still in the low 50s. There seems to be a lot of opinions as to what to do. Should I just let it be as it seems it will go away as the water warms?

I would just wait until the water gets warm and they should disappear. I havent seen much of carp pox in my pond since the ones who had it died in my water accident 2years ago. I did notice that when I tried to do scrappings before they would just come back the next season when the water was cold.

There is no effective treatment for carp pox that I am aware of. Being viral it must run it's course,... the health condition of the fish as well as water condition plays a part (imho) as to whether the carp pox explodes or is minor or somewhere in between. There is no guarantee that with warming water temperatures the symptoms will recede, it may or may not. Wait and see type of thing unfortunately.

Kind Regards,
Terri
