A growth rate I can aim for with this seitaro guaranteed female that arrived May 2008. Brought it home after a month quarantine. It has gained a lot of girth since the pic was taken.

You might try Mike Swanson at Koi Acres. Mike's son Devin works for Marudo which might help you get what you are looking for.

Thanks for sharing guys. I also bought a guaranteed-female Marudo tosai from Kevin @ Genkikoi. She just arrived a week ago so will take pixs and share with you guys soon. Funny, she looks just like yours, Tangigi.

That sucks. What was the cause of death, do you know Tonio? It definitely wasn't old age, was it? I had a chance to see her last fall and man, she's a friendly giant!

From what I have heard the hobbyist had alot of issues with fish he bought from everywhere so what the fish exactly got I will tell you through PM...

I recently got a really nice Chagoi from Nikkei Koi in Hawaii. The picture did not do it justice. She is 2 years old, and about 22" with excellent body composition. I will post a picture when I get a chance to get one. Here is the picture from the dealers web site, which does not do the Koi justice!!

don't know if I will have a slight advantage being in the tropics.
