Malaysia. kohaku was abt 25cm showa was 22 cm. They are both in the 30 plus cm now after 3 months. Well there is much more to learn. Have to sharpen the eyes. Still enjoy keeping them, hope to learn more from this two.

I think he made you pay for the name (breeders). But still they are good for studying. Maruyma is also known for his kohaku. Momotaro is known for big gosanke. Observe them and learn from them.

rule of thumb, if you can't get atleast 4 1/2 head lengths between the nose of the koi and tail
then you have the makings of a fine football.

It's something I teach in my classes, that and look at the pattern last after EVERYTHING ELSE CHECKS OUT. it seems shiro's,showa, and Yamabuki are especially sensitive to this disposition.

Unfortunately, some lessons are more costly than others.

nose to the tail tube or to the end of tail fin? this basic rule for all bloodlines?
