I don't want to hyjack this thread so I'll make this short. About a week and 1/2 ago we were preparing the fish for going outside. I usually have some flukes hanging around and with my indoor tank being overcrowded during the winter here, it's a perfect breeding ground for the little stinkers so I always treat once with Prazi to clean up the fish before they go outside for the summer. Usually i scrape and scope, but it got so routine the last couple of years, that i just do it now.

Within 48 hours the fish were laying on their sides all red. All the large fish are now gone.

Since then I can't get the water "right" in the large tank. I nuked it two days ago, but when I did a water change, the water went cloudy again. Can't get the water "right" now.

All remaining fish are in my Q-tank now. Water in there is just great!! Same source water which leads me to some contaminant still remaining in the big tank. Tomorrow I tear the filters apart and bleach everything. Then add some AC to the top of each TT filter on that tank.

Really sad thing besides loosing some of my best is that I switched to another food about 2 months ago and the fish never looked better. We were so excited about getting them outside once again.
This was a photo taken 48 hours after dosing. These fish were all still alive.

Sue

So sad to hear about this Sue. I've seen pics of your champs & it's heartbreaking.

No i don't think you're hijacking this thread. It's still about Prazi so please explain the "off label" Prazi. Do you think it was your source of where you got it?

Sue: This is heartbreaking. Be strong.

When you are able, please let us know the details. It can help others avoid the same awful experience.

Hi Sue,
Just to keep the record stright and no misunderstandings. Prazi is not a chemical it is a substance that is why it can be used with other treatment at the same time. This is my 3rd year of useing it in the powder form I have found it to be very safe
