Nancy, you are so right. Never again will I EVER treat my fish with something that I don't know where it came from and what is in it. I'll pay the $130 bucks for the labeled stuff anyday after all the fish I just lost. Thousands of dollars now buried in my rose garden NOT TO MENTION the emotional scares it left.

I have no idea if this is where the Prazi I used was purchased from. I'll find out sometime next week for sure, but in the meantime, I emailed them and asked about their source. Here is "fishhchemical.com" response. I assume the reference to purity to 101% is a type-o...hopefully.

The material is Chinese, USP grade(human grade). It is tested only by manufacturer and purity runs 99.1% to 101%

I have a whole darn kilo of that off-label prazi that came from the same place Sue's did. I really wanted to treat my pond....but I am going to treat a few culls in a smaller tank just to be sure. I won't use Superverm again though....I burned a lot of fish with that stuff one year.

Why even try using it? Have it analyzed or checked first.

because having it analyzed is VERY expensive and culls are not.

Please read my post carefully....I'm not sure mine came from this place. I'm trying to find out now. I just wanted to let folks know that this is what I found out about this particular source. You each have to make your own decisions on whether you use it or not. I'm NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD NOT.

Personally I would be cautious using anything that came from China because of the quality control issues that have become apparent over the past year. Some of this may be just fine, yet another batch coming off "the line" may not be. I think consistancy may not be one of their strong points.
