Welcome! How large is your pond? Are there koi or goldfish, and what is your filtration like? I have learned a lot in the year I have been here, and I am sure you will too. Just be patient because it's a very in-depth hobby.

My other new problem is Harry he likes to eat my koi not my gold fish. I have the herron decoy but that hasnt worked and tonite I'm going to try the string around the perimeter thing and see if that will discourage him. Any other ideas???

Have you tried the motion activated water one? It shoots water at what ever sets off the motion sensor. Just don't walk in its path.

Welcome to the board.

Wow another Okie...

Welcome...If you really want to learn more about koi ponds you have come to a great place...Lots of information and knowledge can be found here....I live in Wagoner - Its just about 45 minutes East of Tulsa....Herons once they find your pond will not stop comin' round till every fish is gone....If you don't find something to discourage him then he will consider your pond just another fish Cafe on his route....Hope you find the answer soon....if all else fails....You could try the 3 S's of ponding----Shoot, Shovel, and Shut up .......Of course I'm not telling you thats the best way to deal with the problem-since it is illegal to shoot them ......

Howdy Neighbor!
We're in Davenport, about 1 hr west of you, so Lawanna and I have you surrounded
Take Dick's advice and Join the TKS. There is also the Oklahoma Koi Society based more out of the Oklahoma City area, which we belong to. Speaking of which, we're having a Koi Exhibition in a few weeks just outside of Norman. Let me know if you are interested in attending. It is a mini-show with an auction following. You'll see some very high quality fish there and meet some great people.
There are also some good folks in the Tulsa Club, and a KHA or two who are very nice and helpful folks. You can get some great hands and eyes on help from them.
