Another Newbie!

Hello Everyone!

I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Julia. I live just outside of Boston, MA. I've really just gotten into koi in the past year or so. I have very little knowledge so far of what is considered a "good" koi., but I do want to learn as much as I can. I'm not really that interested though in showing koi, at least not yet. My koi, I'm sure are far from show quality, but I like them and that is what is important to me right now. Aside from that, I am a school teacher, so spending a small fortune on one koi is out of the question with my salary.

I've been reading posts here and I'm really impressed with everyones koi and ponds, my pond seems like quite a puddle and my koi look like guppies in comparison.

Looking forward to learning

-Julia

Welcome Julia,

You did well by finding this forum. The knowledge base that's freely offered around here is unbelievable. Ask questions, and you'll get answers. Maybe not always the answer you were hoping for, but it will be honest, and straightforward. Enjoy!

Howdy Julia and welcome to the board.

I hear what you are saying about some of the ponds on here as I am constantly awed by what some people have. I have a small koi pond but my koi are much happier for me being here and listening to what the more knowledgeable people have been telling me.

It will be a fun ride for you and your koi.
