Hi Dick

I tried to be subtle in my post, but, the simple fact is, as far as my knowledge extends, without the carp that swam in this river, several hundred years ago, there would be no Nishikigoi.

All the people that collect here, and on other boards around the world, would have to find something else to amuse themselves.

Maybe i've becoming too romantically involved with the place but when I stood on that bridge this evening it was something a little special.

p.s. it's just an average pic of an average sunset on an average river, it was the history that made it, at least for me.

like all things on the surface, many times there is a lot going on underneath and i appreciate your sharing your stirrings of what you felt inside.....I agree the place is magical
