Howdy neighbor,

Radical up/down pond temperature changes just can't be good, and I too would like to hear from the experts on how koi take extreme and sudden everyday changes like we've been having lately. I've run the flow through to the pond as high as 50-75% daily exchange continuously through all this, just to keep a constant temperature going. So far so good...but would like to return to our regularly scheduled weather program....

It is really important to watch your feeding right now. With the hotter weather people may be tempted to feed more. Don't! Feeding very little or not at all right now would be better for the Koi.

Which brings me to one of the questions I had for this forum.

Is there a different formula to feed them summer and winter? Or is it all the same food? I was reading somewhere (forget where) that summer feeding is a different formula - less protein, or something.

Okay, I'll search for that topic. I didn't realize there was a search feature here. All I gotta do is find it.
