I've just increased air to my pond and now have 180 litres (80 in nexus) in 3250 uk gallons. When I increased from 130, the koi seemed more relaxed within minutes and are certainly feeding more willingly. I doubt I would go above this level (100litres) in the pond as it would be difficult to see any koi at all if I did- however if I could be convinced of improved health my views could change.

As I remember, the figure Waddy used in K2K was 100L per 1000UK gallons. So keeping to 100L for each 1000US gallons is all the better.
