What variety is this koi?

I can usually figure out koi varieties pretty easily, but this big girl is confusing me. She is 26 1/2" long, metallic and single colored. She sort of looks ogon, but she has some greenish reticulation on her scales. Magoi crossed with ogon maybe? Or magoi? Or maybe just a strange colored ogon? Whatever she is, I really do like her. Any opinions? Thanks!

I am also attaching a pic just taken of my yami ogon, just for a color comparison.

Looks like a cross between a Chagoi and a Matsuba

It's the old style, so to speak, Yamabuki Ogon.

That's interesting. That explains the similarities to my Yamabuki ogon. They are similar, but this koi has such an unusual color. I guess they aren't being bred much anymore. I have no idea how old she is....I got her in Sept 2006.

What Russell said. Mukashi Ogon! Isa has one that is over 100cm and Marusei has several over 100cm. Yamabuki have come a long way since these were popular back in the 60s.

An 'antique koi'. She is grand. Definitely one to be cherished for what she represents.

...notice how her abdomen is shaped in relation to her overall proportions. Thick tail. 'Old style' in every respect.
