Hajime Isa is the owner of Isa Koi Farm in Ojiya, just a few minutes from Ojiya Station and one of my guarators in Japan. He's also breeder of some of the best Showa in Japan and took a Kokugyo at the recent Wakagoi Show.

You can read more about him here International Nishikigoi Promotion Center/Isa Koi Farm

This is when he popped into my place for coffee...

That's because it's the FIRST thing you two made together! Enjoy the journey, if you think koi are fun, he's gonna teach you a few things you had forgotten - just you wait, Henry Higgins!!

Ol' Henry was a good ol' guy wasn't he? One of my favorites!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't imagine how anxious I am to see this guy out in the shop making things with me. I love to teach, and it's going to be fun if he wants to learn dad's trades. He's already very curious of anything in the shop that spins, his eyes get as big as him, well.... maybe

That's great Chris! There's nothing more fun than a father teaching his son, especially when he's passionate about it. Hope that all works out that way for you. I got my son into computers when he was very young. Past me up in no time. Course, I don't know squat about computers compared to him. Now he does web design, graphics and manages the web and web catalog for a local company. He's also done video conferencing design and broadcasting in his last job. So, a well rounded background.

Mike
