Need help

Hi...new to the forum...have a small (800 gallon) pond with 2 Koi, 14 inches long. Have had them for 12 years, not one problem ever, always had good water quality. I knew they had outgrown the pond, so a couple of months ago, found a suitable Koi owner with a 3500 gallon pond. My pond at this time turned pea green, could not even see the fish...did all the usual, put in good bacteria, used barley hay, made sure it didn't get sun...to no avail. It did clear up a very small amount, and then my largest Koi wasn't doing well...not eating, staying at the top. I decided to go ahead with the move, and the next day he was turning on his side...went to my local Koi expert and he recommended a few things, but the Koi died. I looked over him, and he had an red area that I think was an ulcer. As preparing to move my other Koi, my two goldfish died...really weird. My other Koi seemed ok, but I did what I needed to, got him moved...the person I gave him to has a smaller tank he is in for now (about 500 gallons), plenty of oxygen, good quality water...but he is also staying at the waterfall. The only thing that is evident is he does look a little pink at the gills. The lady who took him said this morning he is still at the waterfall. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I think my water quality was bad...hence the dying of my fish. This is the first time I have ever lost any fish, ever. I need to get advice on the other fish...as I said, he is in good water, color is good, but just stressed because of the move. ????

Sounds like parasite issues, but it is not possible to diagnose reliably via internet.

Try koivet.com. It is a site devoted to koi health issues.
