I judged it this way:

A: Showa to me is the clear winner for today, even thou the body is not as impressive as the Sanke the shiroji is clean enough to tie in all the other factors. The sumi accents the the beni and comes together in harmony. Even thou this fish looks male I still choose it to be GC, because it is pleasing to the eyes.

B: Sanke would be runner up, and if it had a bit more finish to the sumi and a soft ground then it would have clearly won hands down.

C: Kohaku is last. Even thou it is the only 2 colored fish in the group the shiroji is not clean or soft enough to make the beni jump up and catch your eye. Even thou I choose this fish last, it is my choice for "tategoi"...

showa is last for me (and i love showas), reason being the sumi is not "up" and the face is plain.

the sanke takes it over the kohaku as the body is better and it seems all 3 colors are finished.

I would say C,A,B
I would say the showa has a chance to win this in the future...but for today, a very yellow head does not cut it. The sanke is a clear winner!!

C is the GC. In the GC class, presence is everything. The fish's total presence of body, quality and color is best. Instead of looking for negatives to bring down a particular fish, look at the atmosphere of the fish- look at the fish as total fish.
I do worry about those tiny pecs but I'll assume they are normal in real life.

C,B,A.
The finish on the showa isn't quite there yet compared to the Sanke and Kohaku. Sanke and Kohaku finish is comparable, body lines comparable, but the addition of Sumi on otherwise relatively equal fish tips the scale toward the Sanke. Give me the Showa in another year after the sumi has had time to finish and the face cleans up.

C, B then A!! I like the overall presence of this fish. Harmony is key for me. My eye immediately went to this fish.

c definitely. It has body, skin quality, balanced pattern. has all attributes of a champ whereas the other two are lacking in at least one or more of those attributes.
