Rapid growth in quarantine tank!!!

I have had the showa for 6weeks and the Ginrin Goromo for 8 weeks in my quarantine tank. The changes have been pretty remarkable. The Goromo is from BWcreek. I do not know the showa breeder. It is from an imported lot from Kodama..khv/svc tested. The Sumi on the showa has really tightened up...and the beni looks much more vibrant. The conformation changes in both have been amazing. I decided to grow these out for a season and see where they go. I thought the ginrin goromo would be excellent for the ginrin B class in competition. What do you think will happen with this showa...long term? Opinions are appreciated.

you must have a good qt system...what is the size and filtration...and how soft or hard is your water...what kind of food are you feeding....long term for the showa, i am sure someone with more experience than me will give you some input...

The quarantine tank is 1200gal. Really an intex pool from target. The food is blackwater gold. I've been seeing good growth with it. My water is insanely soft. I have to constantly buffer to avoid a ph crash (happened twice in my quarantine tanks). I added these to my 16,000gal main pond yesterday. I am hoping the growth will continue at this rate!!!!

They came to me tested. The showa was from a tested batch. After 6-8wks in the mid 70's, I felt safe enough to add them.

Definitely look into the intex pools. My 1200gal pool was $100 at target and came with a pump. Here is a picture of the set-up. The large tank is 1200gal. The back left is a pop-up of 450gal. The front left has been replaced by an intex pool with the blow-up ring. About 550gal. Also came with a pump. I've been using this setup for 2 seasons now. The filter is a whisky barrel overflow from lowes for $20. It is filled with pot scrubber pads and polyester fiber (from walmart..crafts section)for solids removal. Cheap, easy...and effective.
