Its taken me 7yrs to find a dealer i can trust though i have now found one who i trust 100%.i must admit the other reason i like the smaller breeder's "compared to saki/momontaro" is they dont have many pair's and if you wait it out , you can get your self a very nice fish to breed from , and the chance's are ,there from there main set , yes you have to pay !! but you know they've not got ton's of pairs . and the blood line is very small , so for instance ogawaXogawa will carry most of the traits , with very few fry that look like chag/mag ect . i'm very chuffed at the min, as my new pair of kumonryu have arrived both were bought as oyagoi from garyu ![]() steve

Mingaun, Some dealers are only helpful and friendly when you have a deal with him. With pond of your size, not sure what type of jumbo koi your firendly dealer will recommend you. Not easy for 3 90cm fish to swim inside, not to mention growing them from tosai of 25cm. And also for a beginner, investing in very expensive koi may not be fruitful, bec you will start to pickup your own appreciation taste and style along the way, and you would be selecting koi based on different attributes. You have a established local Koi Club and forum which I believed you can get more direct assess and advice on koi keeping. And there are other dealers in KL for your to explore the relationship. (btw, I'm from S'pore and I frequent your friendly dealer too!) ![]() pm me, if you have other private questions. ![]() regards PB.

pbng has given you some very good advice. There are a number of Koi Kichi right in your back yard who have a great deal of experience with gosanke that perform well in your warm waters. You would do well to seek them out and join the local club. Internet knowledge is helpful (when it comes from the right sources), but face to face learning from the experienced voices is always better.
