Nice

It's nice to see such fine develpoment. As you have mentioned it would be nice to see some sumi develop in the middle. But there is still much to unfold and I have feeling she will fill in nicely. How many inches are we at now with Black Dreams?

Black Dreams Koi #40 has passed

I'm sorry to report that Black Dreams passed away yesterday while attempting to do some extreme sports without adult supervision. Somehow he got caught up in the net and died. As he was still at the babysitters I don't have all the details, but he is gone. He was 7.75 inches at the time of his demise.

Lucky (#13) was lucky enough to survive the extreme sports the kids were playing and has been cautioned about jumping.

had being the operative word. I'm sure he's swimming in perfect water in the celestial koi pond.

I would be lying to say I'm not disappointed, but as he never even made it home I'm not overly attached to him yet, so it is not a crushing loss. Losing one of the kids in my pond would be.

I still have Lucky, so I still get to participate in the grow out and work on my koi husbandry skills.

thanks, he was looking good. Bill kept telling him he wasn't a flying fish, but you know youth never listens.

Now it's up to Lucky to start showing something.
