No, i don't think so ... but I am enjoying the "panda like" appearance of the circles of sumi around the eyes... not sure it will last, but it looks cool right now.. Maybe it needs some sleep...Lol.. bags under the eyes...

I've let the water in the main pond go a little green, so this is the hardest koi to see right now...but seems happy...

Sorry I haven't replied to this before now,

Been out of town. here is JR's recipe as I use it for Izeki paste food I like it, it seems to bulk my koi up a little bit, which is always a struggle here in Colorado

Unshelled shrimp (uncooked)
one fillet of catfish (uncooked)
Spinach (some don't like the acid content of spinach- then use collared greens)
Frozen peas (again some don't like this for koi- including Sakai)
One large red bell pepper
whole wheat germ
Izeki paste food- equal amount as the wheat germ you use
A good liquid baby vitamin and or a good reptile vitamin- some say" what's the difference! "
Chop all in a food processor, then add heated orange juice (2 cups) in which you have mixed in 4 packets of non flavored gelatin.
Pour out on a cookie tray no more than a 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and refrigerate.
If the material is too thin due to moisture when you pour it out on the cookie tray then put back in the food processor and add more Izaki paste food and wheat germ.
I will use this paste until mid Nov. And then as the water goes below 60 I will only offer wheat germ pellets until early December.

My opinions are my best interpretation of my experiences. They are not set in stone as I intend to always be a student of life. And Koi.
