Another one bites the dust

Koi 162 my third pick succumbed to it feeding frenzy injury last night. Late last week during a feeding frenzy he was knocked out of the pond by one of my larger fish and sustained a large injury over it's right eye. Despite being put back in quarantine and medicated it had pine coned by yesterday afternoon. I am assuming do to not being able to maintain it's osmotic regulation. By this morning it had passed. Although it will now make some rather expensive fertilizer.

My other picks are doing well though. When do the other participants plan on posting their nest official updates? I am trying to make sure i do it in a timely manner, bu considering i am just now entering the growing season i would rather not disturb them if possible.

When The Month Of July Comes. Just Close Your Eyes And Feed Them As Much As They Can Eat. But Keep Doing Water Changes. TOUCH THEM AFTER THE GROWING SEASON IS OVER.

Thanks for the input.

And will do. I tend to like to build me feedings up leading up to June and out of August so that growing season is more gradual, but I am always open to changes.

I hate to hear another has bitten the dust. We're doing OK so far, but then again ours is still indoor in the toasty warm QT with a few friends...

We'll likely be putting ours outside this weekend if the weather is stable (for a change). After that we won't bowl again until late June for the regularly scheduled progress photo's.

As to the feeding cycle, I'm not one to tell others their business (not savvy enough to do so), but we're feeding all the water temperatures will make them hungry enough to eat. As of last week she had grown from 7" to 9" in the QT, and we're hoping for better once she goes outside.
