Question? I am trying to compare current pictures with the pick pictures. On your # 32 do you think that the sumi on the head has filled in more. I was surprised to see that beni on the head. Also I think the tail has lost some sumi and the white on the back looks good. also I think the skin in your pic looks much better than our pick pictures.

I will not get mine until late next week. So I am getting my fix from others pictures.

Talking Group shot and number 32

On Number 32 I think the sumi has come up quite a bit as the skin has cleared. As far as the pattern change it was I expected to extent. That being said to to the difference in angles and heights in the initial pick photos it is very hard to determine exactly what they koi look like while picking especially in hind sight. I will say that while many of the fish looked like the sumi was so submerged it would never surface in the pictures. None of them look like that in person. All have at least some sumi showing through.

On the beni my only hope is that based on the photos that Shawn showed of his other customer's photos I hope it fades or is covered by sumi. With fading being more likely. On that same note I would say that based on the pictures i wouldn't have gotten any of the tanchos. However after seeing them in person there are probably 10 or so with very strong beni, but the others are very washed out.

The are good quality tosai with clear skin so we shall see what there future holds.

Just a small update

Saturday morning while selecting koi to go to Gardena some of the koi I had wanted to take just weren't where I wanted them to be so I took Koi 2-Pick 30 koi#32 and Koi 3-Pick 46 koi#162 as part of the fill in for my tank. #162 took second best shiro size #1 and #32 took 3 best shiro size #1. The both benched in at exactly 7".
