QT the day after arrival... Just a few shots after giving a bit more time for her to settle in and de-stress a bit. Not the best pix, but mine usually aren't anyway ![]() You can see the dorsal fin damage in these side shots. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| I'm impressed... The healing ability of Koi is a constant source of amazement to me. As noted in the last picture post there was a split in the Dorsal fin, and in the last pic you can clearly see it went all the way down. I couldn't get a good shot of it (yet that is), but in only one weeks time the split has already knitted back 50% .Also, this is one more HUNGRY little bugger . The original quarantine/pre-shipment fasting period had this one primed for feeding time and then some. Not the least bit bashful, when the food hits the water she hooverizes it BIG TIME!!!![]()

I'll see if I can get her bowled up for a shot. We are VERY pleased . Those nice dark fins have pulled back about 50% toward a nice thick motoguro and the shiroji on the head is beginning to assert itself exactly as we had hoped . It is a small amount of change, but definitely going in the desired direction![]() ![]() ![]()

A few from the QT... I really need to scrub the glass down again ... Amazing how invisible spots and smudges show up SOOOOO much better with a "flash" than they do without![]() Anywhoooooo... Here's a couple o' shots from the head and side. As you can see, the dorsal fin has healed up nicely, the wee bits of shiroji on the head are opening up a bit in most of the right places, and the motoguro really is making nice progress. The sumi doesn't look as good in the pics as it does in person, but it has a nice strong look to it. ![]() ![]()

I see some nice shiny lustre AND an extra barbel... ...to go with her latest developments. She looks like she's bulked up and getting deeper some too. I just love the motoguro happening on her pecs. In fact, she's got nicely developing motoguro on all of her nether-region fins. Thanks for the update, Larry! ![]() Happy Auntie, Marie
