Well there was good reason for panic, as your 135 was my first pic.

She brought forth the same emotions in me as she did you! I was totally bummed when you selected her!

I look forward to seeing how she grows vicariously!

Ok Digger, you can always go pick-up your koi before our meeting on Sunday.

Don't hold your breath........

Who you calling ROOKIE? I'm the Rookie, Rookiekoiguy! So far I can honestly say, I don't show koi.................yet! I don't think I want my first experience showing koi to be at the Koi Club meeting with my tiny Tosai.

Everyone will want me to unbag them, bowl them, sex em', measure them, feel the first ray in their pectoral fins so they can again attempt to sex them and then we'll need to rebag them all the while you know I'll be drinking and causing a ruckus to begin with.

But it was not a terrible idea..........

Respectfully,

The Pond Digger

Flattered

McKTX,

I'm flattered that you will be watching one of my pics mature! I will say I have had someone that knows a whole hell of alot more about picking Tosai than I do suggested that #135 may end up looking like a koi with a "beer belly" from the looks of her confirmation.

If that's the case, at least #135 and I will have something in common! Time will tell. I'm already learning. Here I thought the Beer Belly Koi were more from improper diet but now I am learing that genetics play a role in this just like us humans!

You know...............my dad had a beer belly, too!

Cedus Seive in Filter Layout

I'm kickin' things into gear. If you haven't figured it out yet the pond for my Shiros is not quite finished yet! Scorn!

We installed a CETUS Sieve from Evolution Aqua that I picked up at Mystic Koi. Here it is in my filter lay out. The CETUS because it is double walled and can handle a bit of backfill dirt up on it!
