    New Koi Club in Colorado

I am excited to announce a new koi club in Colorado. We already have the Rocky Mountain Koi Club in Denver, which is a great club, but it is far away from Koi Kichi in the Springs, Pueblo, Pueblo West, Caņon City and other points south. In bad winter weather, it is VERY far away. Thus, the

    based in Colorado Springs, CO

Our first meeting was March 7, 2009 with 21 members. We have elected a Board and are working on AKCA affiliation. A big Thank You to all who have been involved with support, advice, and donations!

I am excited to see the koi keeping hobby and friendships grow here in Colorado. Many who were not able to consistently make the trip to Denver now have a closer place to help each other. I look forward to the clubs forming a good symbiotic relationship. Thank you for all the good wishes and help from our out of state friends also

    That's fantastic news, Sarah.

You've a solid core of kichi in your neck of the woods, what with Bob & Shila, Jan & Scott, Ray Armstrong (Pond of the Year X 2) and you (KHA Class of 09).

Best wishes and if you need any help on our end, you've only to ask!

I think the hobby here in Colorado is growing in a lot of ways; it is time to bring folks together to share even more. Plenty of good times for two clubs. Hopefully Denver area and N. Colorado folks will also want to visit down this way!

I too am looking forward to both clubs prospering & working to help one another in their endeavors.

Logistically, I-25 is always tough to navigate from S. Colorado to Denver and all suburbs in less than 3 hrs. each way...if you count possible traffic tie-ups ( They are usually out there!) Options are good to have. We will, for our part, continue to belong to both clubs.
