I was wondering if anyone would buy fish from a dealer at a koi show who had dead fish in their tank?

    I wouldnt.

If I walked up to a dealer's tank at a show, I would walk away and look for the show chairman and ask them what's up with that.

And the show committee should tell that vendor to clean up their act!!! Dead fish in tanks should mean vendor leaves the show with no refund and no participation in future shows!!!!

Under those conditions...no, I would not buy a koi from that dealer. Are we talking one 4inch dead fish...or 10 dead fish??

I had gotten some feed back from my friends who attended a recent show.

Funny thing some people at the show did buy fish from that dealer.

does it really matter? If a dealer cares so little about the water quality in his tank that he would allow even ONE dead fish to stay in there, I want no part of his fish. Admittedly, 10 dead fish indicates a much more serious problem, but even just the one little dead fish is still problem enough.

Nope, I would't even consider it if they were giving them away.

I also won't buy tropical fish from a pet shop where there are dead fish in any of the tanks because the water is circulated through all the tanks. I know that they are supposed to remove all the dead ones twice daily but if I see one in there, I'm not buying.
