Wrong Luke...

AKCA board meeting minutes May 8 2009 post 103

Last nights meeting agenda and outcome.

club AKCA Dir/Rep

Due to the AKCA By-Laws and the fact that the AKCA Board needs to ratify the club ballots for AKCA Officers, the meeting tonight May 29 is deemed a special meeting and the AKCA Board will meet again on 10 Jun as originally scheduled. So there is more opportunity to send in club news to your AKCA Board contact.

The AKCA Board voted tonight to approve the Committee members for the KHA and Project KHV Committees. So those committees are off and running to continue those good works.

The new Project KHV Committee will take over the negotiations with OSU for a Project KHV research grant and report back to the AKCA Board with the results of the negiotiations if they go forward or not with that award.

Luke,
Please get over the bump. Just kill all your forsaken kois and move on. Everyone has the right to know where the money they donated are going and how it is being used. It should'nt be use to fund a program for dealers certification of how to properly QT a batch of shipment they know waht they are doing that's why they are called professionals.

Nancy,
It's good that you opened up this topic a couple of months ago. You should be informed how they spend the money that you and the club donated.

Once again, Quit posting and quitsmoking and get well...not only your spine but your mind (and perhaps your ethics) are failing.

Why would you take the 103rd post and quote it as being the minutes from the meeting when your very FIRST post on that thread detail the meeting? And you were the one to post the detailed minutes....Why?

Would you post that as an attempt to hide THIS (which is the first post in the thread and was posted by YOU......

v PROJECT KHV: Harlan also read a letter from Spike Cover in which he resigned from any and all involvement with the AKCA including the Directorship of Project KHV. The Board reluctantly accepted Spike’s resignation. Harlan stated that a contract with Oregon State University for a research project is ready for approval. Burt discussed the contract; he’s in favor of it. There was further discussion of the research project and guidelines that should accompany payment of money. This is a 3 year project with 5 payments. Further discussion. Burt will contact Ling Jin at OSU to get more info regarding payment schedule and research papers/reports schedule from her. Further discussion. Motion: To tentatively authorize the contract pending payment dates and status dates. Motion by Doug, 2nd by Burt. Approved. Spike has requested that no one but Harlan contact him. Motion: For the first $30k to come out of the AKCA matching funds and to have the flexibility to play with the rest of the money from KHV fund. Motion by Burt, 2nd by Don. Approved.

That was what YOU posted.

What part of this.... YOUR POST...did you not understand?

You've posted that the pain meds you are taking are causing you to not think straight...not even about the condition that has caused you to take the pain meds...perhaps you should take a break

NancyM
you were wrong...and are wrong ..on many levels
The May meeting of the AKCA did Approve the funding
You took a half-hearted statement which was hearsay and decide to accept it as having some basis in fact
and you are Smoking even though it has caused you irreparable damage and will cause you even more.

help her.
yes people that donate money have the right to know how the money is spent.
yes it was misspent if it went to the establishment of an administrative arm which certified dealers with the preferred health pracitces.
It was not misspent to do research to establish which practices work, and work best.

But then again NancyM's inquiry was based solely on hearsay, and has not had any truth attributed to it. By her or who ever she heard it from.
I can not fathom Spike Cover missing the boat on which research project would be appropriate and of value to the Koi Hobbyists...especially with this amount of money....and these many eyes... then again there are several people both on the AKCA Board and that are guiding the AKCA board that deemed this project to be worth the expense and to fund the research.

Luke
You are WRONG, it was tentatively authorized.... And now it has been handed over to the KHV Steering committee... They will make the final recommendations to the AKCA board.... NOTHING is final yet......

The 103rd post was the most recent board meeting May 29th........
