Canary Koi

I've read of people putting a canary koi in with their QT'd fish at the beginning of the QT process...if you don't know, Do NOT do it.

Added to the regular quarantine of abot 3 weeks should then be added one of your own fish of least valuefor a week as there is always the possibility of KHV . If your fish then dies within a few days and providing you raise the temperature, as Buffalo is in the Northern area you should be safe. The problem that can happen is dealers buying from wholsale places that are great deals but receive fish from all Japan and not even knowing they received infected fish especially in colder climates . I used to belong to the professional photographers of New York and my section was in Buffalo
so been ther quite a few times
