It sucks to be the GC winner in Texas

This is what happens when one wins the GC title at a Texas show, you unknowingly get doused with water from your tank!!! Wished other shows start this tradition too.

Fortunately the weather was good and the water NOT cold.

    Congratulation Tom!

Pic 1, Jason, Jennifer, & Duc have Tom point to something in his tank while Tom Walker dumps water over the winner.

Pic 2, Jennifer really enjoyed it & Duc was not fast enough to get out of the way.

Pic 3, Tom's all wet but still has that HUGE smile over his face!

Ahhhh the joy of winning the title.

I'd be willing to get doused with warm, poopy fish water for that honor.

    Congrats!

Tony, I'm putting you in charge of doing this to the show winner from San Jose, OK?

That is a nice progression of pictures. He was not upset one bit. I like the smile on his face.

Chuck & Charles were very close to Tom when this passing of the champion's reward was given. I'm now glad Tom Walker did not use more water.

Interesting how it has progressed from year to year. We recruit the previous years Grand Champion winner to douse the new Grand Champion winner. Started with perhaps a ~ pint of water some years back.. Slowly the amount has increased over the years and it looks like Tom may have been drenched with close to a gallon of water. Next year he get's to douse the winner unless he repeats which is highly possible with his showa. Maybe we need a "extra special" treatment for repeat Grand Champions!

Maybe a dunking in a empty tank???
