Thanks Tony. Wasn't expecting SFF, but not surprised really. So clean.

    Louie's Marudo kuchibeni nice also.

Lam, no joke. Nice buy at Purdin BTW.

Thank you Jeff for your comments on my Purdin Koi Farm tosai kohaku. I know that she is not much to look at right now, but hopefully a couple of years in the mud will do her wonder. While Tomoin is not known for their size, One Eye, Grace, Lamato, and other One Eye offspring oyagoi all look very impressive. You have to see this kohaku in person to appreciate her fully. She has excellent frame (pix just doesn't reveal that) and the desired thick persimmon beni that I so desire. And her face is gorgeous (did I tell you I am a sucker for a pretty face?). I know that her atypical pattern may not appeal to everyone, but all it matters is it appeals to me. In fact, her pattern is similar to her mother's. I know that she is American bred and born and there is a stigmatism associated with "domestic" koi, but IMO quality is quality no matter what the genetics is or who the breeder is. I have high hopes for her and have been keeping my fingers crossed while counting down the days when she will come out of mud next fall.

Very nice and clean Hoshikin kohaku, isn't she, Junichi-san? Do any of you guys know how big she is? Just curious is all.

I think as ones learning curve gets better, ones need for better learning material does too. With the guys here in the Bay Area GoSanke is King.

    koi.tv videos

Koi.tv has uploaded some great video footage of the show. Take a look if you get a chance - Videos of Koi from nishikigoi shows, koi clubs, Interviews, Ikeage, pond tours etc..

I'm really glad they have several clips of the size 6 shiro utsuri since I didn't take enough pictures of that one. One of the best shiros I've ever seen.
