    Momotaro Ginrin Kohaku

A Ginrin Kohaku i bought at the october auction of 2008 at Momotaro Koi Farm

    I named her "Diamond-X"

In november she was 65 cm. A couple of months later in february she has grown to 67 cm.
Will go back in to the mudpond this summer

    Best regards,

Congratulations that is good growth for a ginrin Kohaku. I got some after
the auction. The parent was the 92cm Ginrin best in all Japan show Jan 2007. Sad part is my favorite one got speared by a heron as I was away all summer. One thing about the Momotaro mud ponds is that they are completely netted.
    Regards
    Eugene

Very nice GinRin Kohaku Gerwin, what are your plans for the fish? Is it going to stay in Japan for awhile or maybe enter a show in Japan?

    Hi aquitori,

Maybe she is going to a show. Depending on how she develops.
If the ginrin stays good, i would like to have her in Japan for two more years.

    best regards,
    gerwin

I don't generally like ginrin. There are exceptions. This is one.

I'll second that Exceptional Koi are what Exceptions are made for
Very nice in every respect. The Ginrin is very nice and the beni has the power to come through without any of the "washed out" look a lesser grade seems to suffer. I hope she does well for you as she has the look to stand out in a show crowd.
