    New benching outfit

At our last bonsai meeting, a friend found this jacket and shorts handcrafted in Japan, and made a small traveling gift of it to me.
The koi is beautifully hand painted and the way the sleves come together in the shoulder to allow the garment to vent is quite unique.

Not sure if I'd be willing to wear the shorts, but definetely will wear the jacket while benching at Puget Sound's Young fish show, first full weekend in August.

quess it's not as bad as I feared. Hits me just below the knees.

For some reason. I keep hearing a line from a 60's rock song, can't remember it's name or the artist but it went

"who takes the man with the skinny legs"

Dick, I love that shirt! You have to get a pic taken with you wearing it.

sometimes i think our Koi threads are intense, so a little more relaxed topic breaks up the seriousness of it all. just for a change. I'll see if i can get someone at Puget Sound to take a Pic while I'm benching with the outfit on.

    Benching

Maybe include some pics of the Bonsai??

We are planning plantings for the new location that include large amounts of Butterfly Bushes and other attractants for our other passion, Butterflys. An gorgeous ongoing show all summer.

    Butterfly Gardens

    Hiya

They are wonderful, Monarchs, Yellow Swallotails and so many others, really add to a garden, mix in Hummingbirds and Finches, and Orioles and they are to us worthy companions for the Koi. We now have both the regular Butterfly Bushes and the new short ones and they work great together, so many other plants that work well too. Makes winter a long lonely wait while the land sleeps. Hopefully the Koi will give us company along with the other critters.
