At least I don't have to book airlines. I think I'm about ready to quit flying with the new security checks.
What? You don't want to be groped by a total stranger? Such a prude

Mike, it sounds like you guys really have a great thing going. The solid reputation the show has built up over the years no doubt has a LOT to do with the early booking success and a ton of attaboy's to everyone who has worked so hard at making that possible.

Wouldn't mind the groping so much if I could pick the stranger.

If you have to arrive at the show late on Friday, just let us know ahead of time. We can make special arrangements to bench a few Koi Saturday morning.

Looking forward to the March show. Will be bringing my growout Showa, and a promising Ochiba from Sundan.

Also, working on a few door prizes (woodwork) for the banquet.

Saving my pennies for a new wet friend and supplies.

Not long ago the internet buzz was all about shows being crippled by a lack of vendor support. Well, the vendor spaces for CFKS 2011 are virtually sold out. Spaces in the show tent are all taken. In the atrium one space is not taken, but is on hold for a new vendor. That leaves only a spot in the registration room that is suited for someone who cannot take any risk of wind or rain. This will be the earliest we have sold out at this hotel venue.

Of course, if a dry vendor shows up with a novel product or something that adds excitement to the festival, I'll try to find a way to squeeze them in. But, they better be willing to be cramped.

Now we can focus on encouraging koikeepers everywhere to decide to enter fish in the show. I'd love to see us having to enlarge the tent to accomodate everyone.

Sandy, will be a few dry vendors there with nets include Matsuda nets from Japan. I remember last year Henry C buying the biggest net I have ever seen, 4 ft ring at price of $500. He said he needed a bigger net for his chagoi, last I heard was 38 inches maybe more.
Took a few pictures of tosai harvest today, some of these will bring to the show... just around the corner

Sandy: There are at least two vendors who will be carrying a wide variety of nets. The Matsuda nets at the high-end, and a dealer with an assortment of moderately priced nets in all sizes. For those interested in the Matsuda nets, the shipping cost is considerable due to the length of the wooden pole. That cost is avoided if purchased at the show. The past two years a number of folks placed orders for particular sizes in advance of the show and the nets were then purchased at the show without incurring shipping costs.

Dan: That Chagoi isn't so puny anymore.
