Can't get much closer than this

We had a terrible storm late last night. I woke up to this. The tree is about 10' from the QT pond and the main trunk about 6" from the dozer track. It busted some part on top of the dozer.

Holy Smokes! Too close for comfort. Glad to hear nothing major lost (except a night's sleep)

Try sitting on the seat of the crawler when a tree that size lands on the seat. That'll make your heart go pitter-pat. Trunk beside me, branch in front and branch behind.

I've used the dozer to push over trees before. I don't like it. I'd much rather be on a track hoe digging a pond!

The glass thingy that broke on top has something to do with the fuel filter so I'm hoping it's not too expensive. Everything for that machine costs an arm and leg.

Probably the water seperator. Shouldn't be too pricey.
