    The set up is nothing special one 12' x 4' above ground swimming pool ( 4000 gal)and one square above ground pond (4500gal) and the swimming pool you mention I use that for breeding.

    Yes few of them has loose some hi and breaking up a little. The temp was at 78-80f, now is sitting at 76f ,but I think alot has to do with my water
    quality and over crouded too.
    Just breed another pair of Showa this weeken,now we have wait and hope they hatch.

    Chin-san, That's good to know Showa spawn successfully. Did both female oyagoi (sakura & kokugyo) spawn? Which one of male oyagoi was most active??

    Yes Junichi san both female spawn successfully and look like the Tancho and the small one are most active. The eggs looks good too,with this weather we should see some frys by Wendsday or so.

    No filter, I had try every other year using dirt and plans. I like it with dirt and plans better ,two times now with out dirt it seem like more with gill problem.
    triggle flow small amount of water help alot the key thing is only keep enough fry for amount of space you have .

    Its funny this thread was start by Junichi san in 10/17/2010.start of with theses three little guys. Incase you did not recognized one of the male Oyagoi we used last year was this little guy.
