Fall Colors; Let's see the Ochibas!

If you have an Ochiba and a picture of it please post your picture to this thread.

How big is she Troy? Akiyamma has put on another inch since the show, I think she's about 9 and 1/2. I was watching her a few days ago and told Sean I realy like her shape, it looks full and robust.

I have recently started to notice ochibas for sale with very dark reticulation. Is this desireable or not?

Honestly I am not a big fan of Doitsu style koi, however I have been noticing that some Doitsu Ochibas have markings that remind me of painting with watercolor. I am not certain if this is good or not, but it makes for very dramatic markings.

Ochiba with or without the dark reticulation are simply a matter of genetic expression. When you have strong reticulation the consistency and contrast become important quality considerations and I personally love the look.

She turns yellow in cold water, and darkens to a gold in summer.
Picture is misleading... it is a small bowl... she is only 25" or so. Wish she filled out my big tub that well.

Sactownkoi, I love your Doitsu Ochiba. I've been looking for one for years but haven't found THE one yet. I know someone that has THE one but he won't sell it.
